Three hot beverages that will protect you this winter from getting cold

During the winter times, we start looking for the new ways of protecting ourselves from getting cold. Right now, the question of how to boost our immune system is a hot topic. We have prepared three hot beverages recipes that will strengthen your body, lift your spirits, and help you cope with a melancholy.

Hot mulberry beverage

1 tablespoon peppermint leaves

1 tablespoon fresh or dried mulberries

Cover peppermint leaves and mulberries with a glass of boiling water and leave for an hour. Add lemon before served.

This beverage will help you support your immune system at the first signs of a cold, cope with the decline in strength, and stimulate the energy of the YAN.

Hot spicy herbal beverage

1/2 teaspoon cloves

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger root

Mix all the ingredients, cover with a glass of water, and bring to a boil over a low heat. Boil for 3–4 minutes. Strain before served.

This drink will warm you up, give you strength and energy. According to Ayurveda, it stimulates the Pitta Dosha.

Hot ginger, apple, and grapefruit beverage

3/4 teaspoon finely chopped or grated ginger root

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon cloves

Pinch of cardamom

1 star anise

Juice of 1 grapefruit

1/2 apple cut into small pieces (can be replaced with freshly squeezed juice)

Cover the spices with a hot water, bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add the apple and bring it back to the boil. Add grapefruit juice, cover with a lid and let stand for 15 minutes. Pour into a mug, cool. Add honey at option.

This beverage perfectly tones up, strengthens the immune system, improves brain activity and raises the mood.
